The Most Important Dates Coming Up: Medicare Annual Enrollment Period

One of the most important times of the year is the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP), October 15 through December 7.
During AEP, Medicare beneficiaries can review their current coverage and, if needed, make changes to their Medicare plan for the upcoming year.
Watch your mailbox!
One of the first things I want you to look for is your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) from your current Medicare plan.
Don't throw it away! This important booklet explains changes to your plan for the upcoming year, including things such as premiums, benefits, cost-sharing, and other coverage details.
I encourage you to compare your 2026 plan with what is changing for 2027 and ask yourself:
Is my plan still a good fit for me?
Are my doctors and medications still covered the way I expect?
Have my costs or benefits changed?
Are there other plans available in my area that may better fit my needs?
If your current plan continues to meet your needs, you may not need to make a change. But if something has changed or you're simply not sure, I'm here to help.
❤️ Need a Plan Review? I'm Setting Aside Time for You.
I know this time of year can be overwhelming, which is why I've set aside specific dates during AEP for Medicare plan reviews.
If you receive your ANOC and have questions, don't hesitate to reach out to me. We can review your current coverage, look at the options available in your area, and discuss whether your current plan still fits your needs for 2027.
My goal isn't to make Medicare complicated. My goal is to help you understand your options so you can make an informed decision about your coverage.
Be sure to check back here throughout the year. I'll be using this blog to share important Medicare dates, reminders, changes, educational information, and tips to help you stay informed.
And remember—when that ANOC arrives in your mailbox, don't toss it! Put it somewhere safe and give me a call if you have questions.
I'm always happy to help.
